We count based on the larger of the two sides (e.g. 50 bank rows against 50 order rows only deducts 50 rows), and header/blank rows are filtered out — we never over-charge your quota.

Yes, you can change your plan anytime from your account page. Here's how cost and timing work:

🚀 Upgrading (effective immediately, prorated charge): the new plan takes effect right away. We automatically prorate the remaining days in your current billing period and charge the difference immediately, so you unlock the higher row limit and advanced features right away.

📉 Downgrading (effective on your next billing date): when you downgrade, the new plan takes effect and is charged starting on your next billing date. Until then, you keep full access to everything in your current plan — nothing you already paid for goes to waste.

Do you issue invoices?

We provide clear, transparent transaction records. Check "Purchase as a business" at checkout to enter your company name and Tax ID — once payment completes, we automatically email a commercial invoice with your Tax ID and transaction details, making it easy for your accounting team to record it as a foreign expense.

Your card is authorized in USD at checkout. The actual amount charged in your local currency on your statement depends on your card issuer's exchange rate on the charge date, plus any foreign transaction fee (typically around 1.5%).

🔒 Is my bank statement data safe? Does Hemly access my online banking credentials?

Never. Hemly only parses the CSV files you export — it never accesses your banking credentials. All uploaded data is transmitted over TLS 1.3 and encrypted at rest in the database with 256-bit AES. Strict tenant isolation ensures your financial data is only ever visible to you.

How long is reconciliation history retained? Can I delete it?

Retention depends on your plan: 30 days on Free Trial, 1 year on Starter, 5 years on Pro Growth (including Founding Members), 7 years on Scale. We email a reminder 3 days before expiry, and you can delete all history with one click from your account page anytime.
